In this tutorial we will learn How to Disable or Hide Desktop Search Box on Windows 11. Desktop search box is given by default in some versions of windows 11 and it is used to search the web directly using the Edge browser, but we can hide this search bar.

Important Steps

Follow the simple steps given below to Hide the search box on your Windows 11 device.

  1. First open the Desktop Context Menu on your device.
  2. To open Desktop Context Menu you can simply press Right Click on empty space on your desktop.
  3. Once the context menu is opened, click on Show more options.
  4. Now, Uncheck the Show search option to hide or disable the Search box.

Note: In some versions of Windows 11, you can also use shift + right click to directly open the classic Desktop context menu. This way you won't have to do the third step.
